Off Season Athlete Specific Programs:

BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER are the attributes we hear about today's athletes. Well how to do get there? Simple: STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING TRAINING. “The weakest link in a chain is the strongest because it can break it.” For athletes to be successful there needs to be the right balance of many key factors: Speed, Balance, Mobility, Agility, Conditioning, and Coordination. If any of these are not at their optimum level then we do not get our best performances. Our training is designed to:

  • MOBILITY - Training And Corrective Exercises To Help Fix Any issues Or Muscular imbalances With Your Body

  • BALANCE - Working On The Even Distribution Of Weight To Help Maximize Movement

Who We Are


Justin Soryal
Justin Soryal is the Owner and Head Athletic Trainer at Roots Athletes.  Justin saw first hand in his professional hockey career that the difference between those who made it to the next level and those who did not was their work ethic. Soryal, a former New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes Prospect, Ontario Hockey League (Peterborough Petes) and American Hockey League (Hartford Wolfpack & Charlotte Checkers)uses his experience and knowledge to help athletes achieve the highest levels of performance.  Justin is certified by the American Council of Exercise in Athletic Training.
No matter what sport you are in, the season can be long, demanding and injury ridden. In particular for those athletes playing at the highest and most competitive level. We help our athletes deal with the rigors of a tough season by helping them recover for those physical stresses. We follow this up by preparing them for their following season by pushing their bodies to achieve peak performance.

 

 

The strength and conditioning field is ever evolving with constant breakthroughs made each year. Our staff at Roots Athletes stay current on the latest improvements in our field to make sure the athletes are always training at the highest level. We also have an intense focus on exercise technique and player safety. We want to make sure our facility helps decrease the likelihood of injury and not the other way around.
